Happy New Year! We decided to ring it in right with a fun party with a few of our neighbors (of course, we were having so much fun we didn't take any pictures!). We had the Dolan's & the McGarry's over for a night of good food, great company, and wild games. Shaylee also invited a couple of friends over, but they were in and out. Some of the yummy food included 7-layer dip, Junction City dip, spinach-artichoke dip, tomato/mozarella/french bread appetizers, fresh french bread, and eclair cake. We spent the evening playing Mafia, and then those with small children went home to put them to bed while the older kids hung around for a movie & then toasted in the new year with the ball dropping in NYC & good old Martinelli's sparkling grape juice. The boys then ran around the block banging pots & pans before heading home & hitting the sack. Good 'ol Connor went to bed at 7:30 p.m. and literally slept through it all.
After a lazy morning (who wouldn't be tired after an evening like that?), we decided the weather was perfect for sledding (it was so good, that I even let Connor brave the cold for his first winter outing--he
loved it!). That boy is going to be a sledding kamikaze. I hope I don't pay for today with another round of RSV, but check out the great pics we got!
We rounded out the day with Devin & I making homemade pizza for everyone, then snuggling up with popcorn to watch
