Aspen Quips

Okay, so I've got to post this one. The other day I walked in on Aspen in the bathroom. Why? Because I had no idea she was in there--the lights were out. "Why are you going to the bathroom with the lights out?" I asked her. "Mom," she patiently explained, "I'm saving electricity." Good girl. Next time, choose the bathroom with the window, in the daytime, when you want to save electricity.

Also, an update on my "parenting backfire" from a few posts ago. I decided that rather than giving her the box of toys back on Friday I would make her earn them back. Every day she keeps her room clean she gets one item out of the box. Her room hasn't been this clean (consistently) since before she could crawl!
